The newly approved master plan provides a scientific and systematic framework for the spatial layout, industrial positioning, and infrastructure development of the Park. In terms of spatial layout, it rationally divides functional zones for production, infrastructure, and research and development to promote industrial clustering and coordinated development. Regarding industrial positioning, the “5+3+X” industrial system — comprising five categories of semiconductor industries, three types of high-end chemical materials, and X categories of cutting-edge new materials — is established as the leading framework, with proactive efforts to expand upstream and downstream industrial chains, thereby building a chemical industry cluster with core competitiveness. The infrastructure development plan looks to the future, comprehensively upgrading transport, energy, environmental protection, and other supporting facilities to ensure robust support for enterprise settlement and development.
In the approval of the master plan, the three municipal bureaus jointly emphasized that the Park must strictly comply with relevant regulations, upholding the two red lines of ecological conservation and production safety to ensure its full compliance in construction and operation. In addition, the statutory certification procedures for the Park must be completed before it commences production.
The approval of the master plan marks a milestone in the development of the new materials industry in Shenshan. In recent years, Shenshan has explored and established an industrial development layout featuring new energy automobile as the main industry, new energy storage, high performance materials, and intelligent manufacturing equipment as complementary ones. Focusing on the new energy vehicle and electronic information industries, the Park prioritizes the development of high performance materials and high-end electronic chemical materials. It is currently focusing on introducing projects under the “5+3+X” industrial system.
According to the person in charge, this approval not only unlocks the gateway for the commencement of industrial projects, but will also attract more high-quality chemical enterprises. This will accelerate industrial clustering and enhance the industrial scale and benefits. At the same time, it will drive the development of related industrial chains, create a large number of job opportunities, thereby making a positive contribution to local economic development.
