“Shan” refers to Lianhua Mountain, the highest mountain in eastern Guangdong, which is of the same name as Lianhua Mountain in Shenzhen. The S-shaped river resembles the estuary of Chishi River and S is also the initial of “Shenshan”. The “three drops of water” radical of the Chinese character “Hai” (sea) represents Honghai Bay and implies inclusive and open-minded marine culture. The arc is derived from the colorful crown worn by Teochew opera performers, and implies that “there is always a higher mountain”. The Chinese character “Shen” looks like a charger, representing a promising outlook for the new energy sector. “Ping” is shaped like a car and stands for Shenshan’s commitment to working as a core bearing area in Shenzhen’s efforts to build a new-generation and world-class automobile city.
