The Da’antong Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs is located in Chishi Town, a famous old revolutionary base area in the Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, and covers an area of 9,000 square meters. The cemetery consists of the Chishi Town Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs, the Chishi Town Memorial Pavilions for Revolutionary Martyrs in the War of Liberation as well as dozens of scattered graves of martyrs in the surrounding area. As an integral part of the Hailufeng Revolutionary Base Area, it is an important area where the Communist Party of China (CPC) set up a communist regime in Dongjiang. Proletarian revolutionaries such as Peng Bai and Xu Xiangqian had fought heroically, and set up Party and government institutions and armed forces, including the 6th Detachment of Dongjiang Column, and the 5th Regiment of Dongjiang 1st Detachment of Guangdong and Hunan Border Column. It is now a memorial site in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, where revolutionary martyrs are honored and commemorated, and patriotic education is carried out.
