Shenshan calls for seizing opportunities to promote industrial transformation and making new progress in improving output and performance. The Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone recently held a Spring Tea Reception for learning and implementing the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at a meeting with private entrepreneurs. Nearly 200 private entrepreneurs from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and representatives from chambers of commerce and trade associations gathered together to discuss ways for development and a brighter future.
Wu Qubo, secretary of the Party Working Committee in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, and Zhou Jianjun, a member of the Party leadership group, and a candidate for full-time vice chairman of Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce attended the event.
The Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone is accelerating efforts to build itself into a core hub for the new-generation world-class automobile city of Shenzhen. With a fast-growing economy, its GDP is increasing year by year, which amounted to RMB24,215 million in 2024, surging 74.2% from the year before. Furthermore, the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone works to improve its business environment to match Shenzhen’s standards in quality and performance. By better ensuring the supply of factors across the board and establishing the “governmental departments + business associations” service model, the Zone has adopted multiple measures to foster a cordial and clean relationship between government and business, collaborating with private enterprises to shape a brighter future.
Prior to the Spring Tea Reception, over 40 representatives from chambers of commerce and trade associations, and enterprises in other places, including the Guangdong and Macao Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Shenshan Natives (Hong Kong) Association, the Hainan Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong and the Shenzhen Women’s Chamber of Commerce paid field visits to the second phase of BYD Auto Industry Park and Xiaomo International Logistics Port in Shenshan.
In his opening remarks, Huang Shidong, member of the Party Working Committee, deputy director of the Management Committee, and director of the United Front Work and Social Development Bureau of the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, extended his heartfelt gratitude to business representatives from Hong Kong and Macao as well as entrepreneurs who have diligently developed their business in Shenshan and have facilitated the Zone’s investment attraction efforts.
At the Spring Tea Reception, an official from the Bureau of Sci-tech Innovation and Economic Services delivered a presentation on the business environment and elaborated on geographical advantages, economic growth, and development positioning under the theme “Shenzhen Moves Eastwards to Build a New Town”. Representatives from five enterprises, namely Shenzhen Shenshan International Automobile City (Group) Co., Ltd., eastern Guangdong department of Southern China Branch of Sinopec Lubricants Co., Ltd., Guangdong Jindong Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Longhai Smart Lighting Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone Lusheng Real Estate Development Co, Ltd. presented their products in the Spring Tea Reception, where entrepreneurs probed into the possibility of cooperation.
Zhuo Zhenwei, executive vice chairman of Shenzhen Shenshan Natives (Hong Kong) Association and president of Shanwei Jinyinwan Business Hotel expressed his pride in witnessing the rapid transformation of his hometown during each visit. Noting the promising prospects of Shenshan, his company has shifted its business priorities to Shenshan in the belief that they will grow and thrive together.
Zhu Wenfeng, a member of the regional cooperation department in the Guangdong Macao Chamber of Industry and Commerce and president of Shenzhen-based CMFC Group, recalled his visit four years ago and was deeply impressed by its rapid development in such a short period. He described Shenshan as a promising destination for investment. As his company’s business areas are associated with NEVs and the chemical industry and dovetail nicely with Shenshan’s industrial development positioning, the visit has shored up his investment confidence.
