From:Shenshan Special Cooperation ZoneUpdated:2025-06-17

On April 20, the Shenshan Administrative Branch of the Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality hosted an awareness campaign for the 56th World Earth Day themed “Conserving Lush Mountains and Lucid Waters, Building Shenshan with a Shared Future” in Chishi Sub-district in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone.

Through the promotion of scientific knowledge and interactive activities, the event showcased the Zone’s abundant natural resources and Shenzhen’s progress in ecological governance. It also features Shenzhen’s natural endowments and landmark natural sights in Shenshan, encouraging public participation in promoting ecological progress and pursuing green lifestyles.

An official from the Shenshan Administrative Branch of the Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality noted that a multi-dimensional publicity approach needs to be adopted to allow residents to appreciate ecological beauty through specific experiences while comprehending governance significance via macro perspectives, thus pooling strength from society for the conservation of natural resources.

Boasting exceptional natural resources, among which mountains, waters, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, and seas coexist in perfect harmony, the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone forms an integral part of Shenzhen’s ecological landscape of “building a city surrounded by mountains and waters”. From lush forests to limpid and meandering watercourses, and from vibrant wetland parks to rippling coastal stretches, the scenic environment in Shenshan offers residents tangible experiences of harmonious human-nature coexistence.
